Primordial Sound Meditation Teacher Training
Primordial Sound Meditation is a very specific time-tested meditation technique dating back thousands of years to the ancient Vedic traditions of India. As a certified instructor, you will have the knowledge and skills to teach Primordial Sound Meditation, the most powerful tool we have for direct contact with Spirit and rediscovering our unique essential nature. Drs. Chopra and Simon have revived this ancient process and made it available in a format that can be easily learned by everyone.
The essential aspects of these timeless teachings have been maintained in their pure, original form, ensuring the most beneficial experience. With regular practice, twice daily, we open our awareness to all levels of our existence and infuse Spirit in every aspect of our being. When teaching meditation, however, you multiply the effects of your own meditation many times over.
The Primordial Sound Meditation Certification is a 7-day intensive immersion into the ancient teachings of meditation as translated by Drs. Deepak Chopra and David Simon. You will be able to set up, market, and teach courses in a manner and frequency that suits your schedule.

Meditation Teacher Certification Process
Prerequisites:
To qualify for the Primordial Sound Meditation Instructor Certification course, the following prerequisites must be completed:
- Regular practice (twice daily) of Primordial Sound Meditation, learned in your community or at a Chopra Center seminar
- Completion of the Seduction of Spirit seminar, as a participant
- Regular practice of the Sutra Program learned at the Seduction of Spirit seminar.
- Completion of the Journey into Healing seminar, as a participant.
- Completion of the Primordial Sound Meditation Home Study course.
The Home Study course can be requested once the Seduction of Spirit seminar is completed. - Passing the at home, online open book exam with a score of 85% or better. The exam must be completed and passed 30 days before the start of the Teacher's Training course.
- Participate in a minimum of two teleconferences by phone or web.
- Completion of a telephone interview with a Chopra Center staff member.
- Signing and submitting the Primordial Sound Meditation Teacher's Path Agreement form and Enrolllment Agreement Form.
The Primordial Sound Meditation Certification Program is divided into two parts:
Part 1: The Home Study course
Completion of the Instructor Home Study Course, which includes 70+ hours of studying audio, written and video materials. The Home Study Course will provide you with the basic theoretical knowledge necessary to teach Primordial Sound Meditation. The Home Study course materials can be applied for and ordered after you have attended the Seduction of Spirit seminar and have enrolled into the certification course. It should be ordered at least 12 weeks before the Certification Course start date.
The Home Study course consists of the Primordial Sound Meditation Instructor's Manual, video and audio lessons, the Primordial Sound Meditation student workbook, The Crest Jewel of Discrimination book, and the Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga book. Additionally, you will be provided with a binder of information received at Journey into Healing and Seduction of Spirit that contains critical information required in passing the at home, open book exam.
After studying the material at home (estimated time of concentrated study is 70+ hours), you will be asked to complete written examinations which tests your competence in the basic principles and practices of meditation and Ayurveda. Successful completion of the Home Study course and demonstrated competence on the examinations (a passing grade of 85% or better) will qualify you to attend the Certification course. If you do not pass the exam you may retake it and receive a passing grade of 90%. If you do not pass the exam the second time, you are required to wait six months before re-taking and attend the Certification Course at a later date.
Part 2: The 6-Day Certification Course
This component of the training program will provide intense instruction, practice and evaluation of speaking and teaching skills to ensure command of the course information. During the Certification course, qualified participants will develop expertise in facilitating the Primordial Sound Meditation course. Each participant will learn the history of meditation, mantra techniques, personal instruction procedures, practical aspects of meditation, higher states of consciousness, and facilitating group meditations.
Each student will undergo a final examination, both oral and written, and must obtain a passing grade of 85% or better in order to become certified.
Upon completion of the program, you will be qualified to teach Primordial Sound Meditation in your community. You will become part of our worldwide network of educators and receive ongoing marketing support.
We highly recommend that you audit a Primordial Sound Meditation course either in your community or at the Chopra Center.
Continuing Education
In order to retain your certification, you are required to attend the Seduction of Spirit seminar once every 24 months. For those located outside North America, you are required to participate in a comprehensive series of interactive teleconferences.

When will I receive the Home Study Kit?
The Home Study course can be applied for once Seduction of Spirit is completed as part of your Certification enrollment process. An application and a one page essay on why you would like to become certified must be completed and submitted prior to receiving the home study kit.How long will it take to become certified?
All participants will have 18 months after completing the Seduction of Spirit seminar to complete the prerequisites and testing to receive certification.What happens at the 7-Day Teacher Training Course?

The Chopra Center will provide a representative to assist you during your certification process and after you become certified. The Chopra Center will also provide marketing materials and support you in promoting your classes in addition to listing you on the instructor referral pages on our website if you are actively teaching.Are any discounts available to me once I am a Certified Instructor?
Yes. You will receive discounts on Programs and discounts on retail products, spa treatments, etc. Also, our certified instructors receive commissions for referring their students for enrollment in Chopra Center Programs as well as an assigned representative to assist them with this process.What is required for Continuing Education?
